Hello, I am Kelly, the creator and designer behind ‘from my hook.’

Thank you for stopping by. As a fledgling business owner I am in the process of creating and building ‘from my hook’ and its online home. Over the next 6 months I will be adding a bank of patterns to the online store, and, launching tech editing and design services for crochet designers.

I believe that, from the moment you pick up your hook, the world should fall away; your shoulders should relax, and, you should smile as you anticipate the time you will spend creating. Crochet can bring a sense of joy and playfulness to our days, that, especially as adults, we forget that we need. A great pattern makes this easy. It gives us all the information we need to find our flow, it gives us the guidance we need to create details that delight us, and, it allows us to create items that bring us joy (as well as bringing joy to anyone else who is lucky enough to receive one).

As a creator of crochet patterns I am passionate about making beautiful, high quality, patterns that allow you to find your moment of calm. I particularly love creating amigurumi patterns as they never fail to bring a moment of joy to my day.

For designers I will be adding tech editing and design services that help to make the process of creating high quality patterns as simple, calm, and joyful, as the moments spent with your hook.
